A bit of our life, in words.

So things continue to move. I had a dream Saturday night that I was suddenly 10 years in the future… and I was talking to Pam and dad and someone else; figuring out all the things I had missed in the last 10 years. I don’t remember much of it now, except two kids and I was noticeably aged. It was the kind of dream that still felt very real after I woke up; which left me thinking about how time flies so quickly. We really aren’t here for long.

I heard the song “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles a few weeks ago. For some reason it strikes me as another breath of fresh air. Much like John Mayer’s’ “No Such Thing” was about 6 or 7 years ago. The rest of her album is good, but only one or two of her other songs stand out as “original and different”… whereas just about every song on John’s album was great and took a different angle and thought. Anyway, I liked it enough that I bought the album. I can’t remember the last time I bought an album. I’m so used to just listening to Rhapsody or music I already have.
