A bit of our life, in words.

Pam didn’t get off work and home until late (7pm) on Friday, and we had planned to go out and get a ceiling fan for our bedroom to help with cooling costs for the summer.

This morning we got up about 7 or 8am, and I started installing the new ceiling fan; only to learn they didn’t provide wiring to separate the light and fan controls. So we went back to Lowes and bought a wireless controller so we could do that without dropping a new wire. So we got it all installed and wired up and it looks great. Pam picked out a ceiling fan where the blades are shaped like leaves and I had my doubts (not to mention is was one of the expensive ones); but it really looks great (I’ll have pictures up, right? right.) and adds a lot of character to the room. Now we just need pictures on the wall!

Then we had our new couch come in today and they took away our old one. It only took almost a year for the Macy’s StainSafe warranty to actually come through. (We didn’t buy the warranty for the new replacement couch) The new one is lower to the ground, higher to sit on and wider and deeper. The color is a bit darker than our off white old couch; it looks really nice. It’s almost a suede fabric; but not quite. We’re hoping it will stand up to the pets better too.

Then we went to see Iron Man tonight. It was great! Very cool.
