I work hard on my lawn…

I haven’t been really mad in a long time. The kind of mad where you’re beside yourself. And I’m not so much just mad as I am disappointed and left speechless. The last time I felt like this was back with the people who hit my car and told their insurance I hit them AND threaten to sue me to pay their deductible. Unbelievable.

Anyway, this isn’t even that big. But I work hard on keeping my lawn watered, fertilized, mowed and looking great. It gives me great personal satisfaction to produce a great looking lawn. That is, until a truck hauling dry-wall and bricks with a trailer decides to run over it. This guy ran over the entire left half (the bigger half) of the front part of my lawn in front of the sidewalk; creating a 2 – 4 inch tire indentation. Then he apparently backed his trailer into our driveway, leaving tire skid marks all along the way. He apparently did this to do a u-turn, instead of going another 300 feet straight to the intersection where there’s room to do a u-turn.

So more than being mad about my lawn, I’m upset that someone would do that to someone else’s property and then drive away and not do or say anything about it. And perhaps I could be over-reacting a bit, cause it’s just a lawn, right? But it’s the principle of the matter that kills me. You ruined someone’s property and didn’t care. And what do they think? That the person who’s yard they ruined doesn’t mind making a trip to Lowe’s now to get dirt to fill in the trenches they left? That it’ll give them something to do? That they like having their yard messed up?

Ok, well… that’s it. I’m done with venting.

Other news, things are really busy. I think I’m over scheduling myself, which is what I was trying to avoid from the beginning.

I’ve moved back home and I’m in the process of making my home-office cozy and more productive. Which includes things to cover the wall, a custom-made bookshelf and maybe a ceiling fan; I haven’t decided yet.

That pisses me off to no end. “Beside myself” is a very good way of putting it… So angry you just don’t know what to do.

We also work hard on our front lawn…

    Man… I just… ugh…
