Year = 2009
So, another sleepless night… I figured I’d write something. It’s hard to believe another year has gone by and the question again pops up: “Who ever thought we’d get this far?”
So pictured here is my new guitar! It’s the second electric guitar I’ve owned. My first one was used and destroyed a few years ago by my brother, along with my $600 amp. My first electric guitar was a cheap $100 Fender Squire. I still remember “splurging” and going down to the local guitar store in Searcy, Arkansas during my first year of college and picking that up with my cousin Cory. I took it back to my dorm and first learned how to play some John Mayer on it.
This new one is a Fender “Mexican” Stratocaster. Definitely a step up. I bought a Line6 Pocket POD to use in place of an amp for now until I can afford a nice one. The first song I learned to play on this one was “Nobody Else” by Los Lonely Boys. Fun stuff!
I also got a new MacBook Pro after my dad left Pam’s laptop at an airport over in Europe! So Pam is upgraded to an early 2008 MacBook Pro and I’m sporting the new uni-body one. It’s pretty slick! It’s great to go to a LAN party and not have to haul my “gaming machine” over there. I can just take my MacBook Pro and it can handle just about anything I throw at it (though it does get hot!).
There’s a side by side. I’m getting Pam to start using Mac OSX. It’s frustrating for her to learn things over again but she’s being really patient about it and letting me have her move over to OSX.
Business wise, there’s lots of things in the pipe that we’re working to get out. So that’s all still at a “coming soon” status.
Christmas was great. There weren’t any scheduling conflicts this year, woohoo! That’s all I can think of for now, later!

Hmm… The idea of having two laptops astounds me. Ryan wants to get an Acer One so I said that we could give my old Acer to Emily or Lisa. But he nixed that and said that we would each have our own. What on earth do we need two laptops for? Well, he does want to run Linux (and XP as a backup), and I don’t like Linux.
Either way, y’all look pretty snazzy there with two laptops.
haha, that cracks me up that Pam is using a mouse. That reminds of my mother-in-law who was so excited when she came back from visiting Ryan’s brother and glowed that she had used a laptop! But it was hard for her to use the mouse pad.
And I like your curtains!
